| The CTC Ulladulla has acquired funding from the
IMB Community Foundation to run our "Restore and Digitalise and
Relive Your Memories" course. Throughout the course you learn
how to scan photos, slides and negatives, restore and edit
photos, and the use the images in slideshows, presentations, and
save for archival purposes on discs and drives.
The groups are kept small and are for all ages, especially
seniors. There are 5 groups, and each group will run for 1
morning or afternoon per week for 6 weeks. |

Week 1 - Catch
up on basic computers / Begin with Scanners
This week we will be brushing up on some basic computing skills,
including skills needed to complete the course.
1. Mouse use

3. Navigate around the computer
4. Make a folder
5. Open applications
6. Save a file
7. Use a USB flash drive
8. Scanner installation
9. Scanner application and settings
10. Getting the best results from the scanner
Week 2 –
Scanning
This
week we scan your documents, photos, slides and negatives.
Week 3 –
Restoration and editing
This week we begin restoring and editing our images. We will be
using a program called Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.

Restoration and editing
This
week we continue editing and restoring so we can start putting
our presentations together next week.
Week 5 & 6 –
Presentation
This
week we begin putting all of our images together to make our
presentations. We will be making a DVD movie slideshow, so if
you have any music you would like to use on the DVD, bring it
this week.
